Organic Valley WA has been specializing in Certified Organic
Fruit & Vegetables since 1998. Organic Valley WA endeavors
to supply the best quality Certified Organic Fruit & Vegetables
available in Australia. Organic Valley WA source their quality
organic produce from Certified Organic Australian Fruit & Vegetable
growers who are dedicated to the sustainability of the environment
and who believe that Organic farming helps to keep the environment
free of pollutants, prevents sickness and disease, promotes good
health and a higher quality of life for all living things.
While, consumer perception is that Organic Fruit & Vegetables
are more expensive. However, it is a fact that 99% of the fruit & vegetable
plants that are currently growing in Australia have been imported
into Australia from Europe & other parts of the world. As
a consequence, fruit & vegetables are being grown in very
harsh Australian natural environments and fruit & vegetable
plants have no natural resistance to the pests & diseases
that are present in Australia. Therefore, the ordinary Australian
farmers spray and fertilize their crops heavily, in order to
achieve a 95 – 100% yield.
However, an Australian Organic farmer who does not artificially
fertilize the soil or chemically spray for pests and diseases
is presently only achieving a 27% yield. This means if an Organic
Farmer plants an acre of crops only 27% of the crop will be suitable
for sale in the marketplace. The Organic farm is also very labor
intensive and it costs a great deal more to grow crops organically.
Therefore, an Organic crop will cost the consumer more than chemically
sprayed produce and it is harder for an Organic farmer to make
a living.
Organic Fruit & Vegetables TASTE GOOD TOO. Many of our customers
say that organic fruit & vegetables taste great, more like
the way they did when they were children. An organic strawberry
may not look as perfect as a sprayed strawberry but an organic
strawberry tastes sweet & juicy. An organic tomato is tasty & fleshy
not all water & seeds like a sprayed tomato. Because Organic
Fruit & Vegetables are seasonal and are grown when life’s
cycle intended them to grow. For example, Citrus& Apples
are grown in the winter months when the body requires optimum
Vitamin C to combat colds & flu. Therefore, Organic Fruit & Vegetables
are not waxed, sprayed or dipped in chemicals so they can be
stored for months and sold all year round. Organic Fruit & Vegetables
are grown & eaten immediately (particularly if eaten raw)
and the body then absorbs the optimum nutrients available.
However, eating organically is not an instant miracle cure for
all sicknesses & ills that occur in the human body. What
eating organically means, is that over a period of time people
are making an informed and conscious decision to consume less
chemicals, preservatives, artificial colorings and a myriad of
other toxins that accumulate in the human body and is said to
be greatly affecting the bodies immune system. What eating organically
means, is that in the long term you may be avoiding developing
debilitating and life threatening diseases that will affect your
quality of life. Good health and well-being can never be measured
in terms of money. In the long term, it is really a matter of,
can you afford not to eat organic.
